Research Colloquium

Join us for an inspiring evening of scholarship, innovation, and vision at the THRIVE MPH Proposal Night, a signature event of the THRIVE Fellows Program at Fort Valley State University.

This milestone event showcases the research proposal defenses of our Fall 2025 MPH Fellows as they present their thesis concepts to faculty, peers, and community stakeholders. Grounded in equity and rooted in real-world challenges, each proposal reflects the student’s commitment to advancing public health solutions across Georgia and the Global South.

What to Expect

  • Live proposal presentations by MPH Fellows

  • Faculty feedback and peer dialogue

  • Recognition of emerging public health scholars

  • Community networking and refreshments

  • Special remarks from public health leaders

This event is the culmination of an intensive research development process supported by faculty mentorship, peer review, and field-based learning. Proposal topics explore critical issues such as food security, maternal health, mental wellness, HIV prevention, rural healthcare, and more.
