2025 Summer Cohort

Amber Lynch, Nutrition

Amber Lynch's current research project is titled "School Lunch Satisfaction and Vegetable Consumption Among Middle School Students in Sumter County, Georgia." Amber explores whether students’ satisfaction with school lunches affects their willingness to consume vegetables. The study evaluates taste, presentation, and menu variety as predictors of healthy eating, with implications for improving school nutrition programs. Survey responses will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and ANOVA to compare vegetable consumption patterns across different satisfaction levels. This work not only addresses urgent issues within underserved communities but also reflects Amber Lynch's commitment to applying academic knowledge and research skills to advance equity-driven public health solutions.
